Gov't and Trust complete deal
Work is set to begin on Queen's Pier in Ramsey, after enthusiasts signed a five-year lease with government.
The agreement, between the Queen's Pier Restoration Trust and the Department of Infrastructure, was finalised yesterday afternoon.
It means volunteers can now get on with repairs, which it's estimated will cost around £1.5 million.
Queen's Pier closed in 1990 - but the Trust hopes, with sufficient community funding, the Victorian structure can become a fully operational tourist attraction again.
