Public Health issues D&V advice

People with symptoms should stay at home until 48 hours after they stop

Public Health's issued advice about vomiting and diarrhoea after a recent spate of norovirus cases on the Island.

D&V bugs are said to be common in adults, children and babies and symtoms typically last a few days.

The most important thing is to have lots of fluids and get plenty of rest.

Anyone experiencing symptoms should stay home from school or work until they've not been sick, or had diarrhoea, for at least two days.

You should only contact a medical professional if you or your child has signs of dehydration or has been ill for more than a week.
