Workshops to be held to outline two possible funding options
Creating a fair system to pay for nursing, residential and home care is being likened to creating the NHS.
In July Tynwald approved plans to look into two possible funding models.
One would see the state pay for all care - the other would be means tested with caps in place for how much would be spent by an individual.
Government is due to launch a public consultation, and a series of workshops, which will enable people to discuss the models in more detail.
Health and Social Care Minister Lawrie Hooper admits either model will likely come at an extra cost.
