
The Legislative Council election takes place on 4 March
A businessman hoping to be elected to the Legislative Council believes government will need to be more efficient in order to support the Island's aging population.
Matt Gough says the falling birth rate will mean more people start to become reliant on the state for pensions than are paying in.
Mr Gough grew up in the Island before joining the navy, and has since run small businesses and worked for a yacht management company.
He believes the changing demographics of the Island are a challenge:
