Rates to go up in a few weeks time
The cost of sending a standard local or UK letter is set to increase by 5p.
The Isle of Man Post Office has announced from 6 April, the price of sending a standard letter will go from 57p to 62p.
By comparison, Royal First Class, Jersey Post, and Guernsey Post rates are also set to rise:

It says the increase in price is in line with the Post Office's five-year strategy to improve its financial position, as postal volumes are estimated to decline by 8%.
It adds, whilst rates are rising across the board, the IoM Post Office will continue to provide a free postage service to any British Forces Post Office address, when sending letters and parcels up to 2kg.
Chairman of the Isle of Man Post Office, Julie Edge, says whilst mail volumes continue to decline, price increases are "regrettably inevitable", but help to achieve it's five-year strategy, and "protect IOMPO's proud self-funding status".
