MiCard system due to be replaced by end of next year
The Isle of Man Post Office’s retail network is a ‘at risk’ due to the removal, or potential removal, of a number of services.
The chairman has told an Economic Policy Review Committee that it’s going through ‘great changes’ and almost everything is a challenge.
It follows the transition of changing the business model from a letter delivery service to one which is focussed on parcels.

The MiCard system is due to be replaced by the end of next year meaning anyone who claims benefits, or a state pension, will have to have their payments made into a bank or online account.
The cards currently allow people to collect their benefits or pension in cash at the Isle of Man Post Office branches.
However government says it is 'uneconomical' to keep up with this 'declining trend' as fewer than 3,000 people use them.
