Post Office lists 'increasing letter prices' as key objective

Chair presents statutory board plan to Tynwald

The Isle of Man Post Office is setting out its key objectives which include plans to increase letter prices to address declining volumes and rising costs due to inflation.

Chair Stu Peters told Tynwald that the organisation is focusing on expanding its network of UK delivery partners, investing in electric vehicles to create a greener fleet, and reviewing its pricing structure to simplify tariffs.

The Post Office also aims to improve its customer experience by enhancing its website and phone messaging systems, reducing the need for customer calls.

For the financial year ending 31 March 2024, the Isle of Man Post Office reported a profit of £2.58 million, a significant increase compared to the previous period's profit of £0.54 million.
