Statistician offers view on census figures
The drop in the Island's population is not a surprise to those who have been following the plot.
The initial view of statistician and author of the Isle of Man Population Atlas, Paul Craine.
He was live on Mandate on Thursday morning to comment on the findings of the 2016 Isle of Man Census, which have just been released.
It shows a fall of 1.4% in the population compared to the 2011 census, while the number of people in their 20s has fallen by 5.4%.
