Tynwald has bid farewell to one of its most popular messenger.
Tommy Quirk has retired after 6 years in the post where he served not only Tynwald but the House of Keys and Legislative Council as well.
During yesterday's (Tues) tea break he was given some presents of appreciation, including a framed picture of him with his colleagues.
Head of the Messengers Derek Brown said Mr Quirk was so good at making coffee, it often explained the absence of members from the chamber.
Acting President, Speaker Steve Rodan also commended Mr Quirk (pictured) for never missing a member's eye when it came to delivering notes.
Juan Turner MLC is Mr Quirk's grandson, and on his behalf thanked everyone for their presents and kind words.
