People urged to consider sustainable Manx clothing

Laxey mill highlights importance of buying local

People on the Isle of Man are being urged to consider where they're buying their clothes from.

It follows concerns about the rising cost of living on the Isle of Man and the impact of fast fashion on the environment.

Laxey Woollen Mills was set up in 1881 to use Manx wool and sell local products.

Still, today, the store uses Loaghtan wool where it can and similar techniques to those used more than 100 years ago.
