Pay talks between Manx Care and RCN continue

Nurses recently voted in support of strike after rejected 4% pay increase

Further pay talks between Manx Care and the Royal College of Nursing have taken place after nurses on the Island voted in favour of a strike.

Health Minister Claire Christian says a meeting between the two parties was held last week after an indicative ballot confirmed members would support industrial action.

A four percent pay offer has previously been rejected, with the RCN expressing concern that the deal wouldn't be backdated for nurses who've left Manx Care during the current financial year.

Minister Christian says the funding remains available for the previous offer, but other issues still need to be agreed:
