Onchan man accused of child sex offences

34-year-old appears at Douglas Courthouse

An Onchan man will stand trial after being accused of child sex offences.

The 34-year-old can’t be named due to new anonymity laws brought in this year by Tynwald.

He’s been charged with eight counts of sexual activity with a child; the offences allegedly took place between April and July this year.

He’s also been accused of taking an indecent, moving image, of the same complainant.

Committal proceedings, where the case is elevated to the Court of General Gaol Delivery, will take place on 8 October; there was no application for bail and he was remanded at the Isle of Man Prison.
