Over 60 per cent of Manx people overweight
61.1 per cent of Manx adults are overweight or obese, along with 22.9 per cent of children in reception class, aged 4 or 5.
Problems with unhealthy weight is one of the lifestyle risk factors highlighted in a new public health report today (Tues 24th).
Research also found that there are more deaths from drug misuse per capita on the Island than in England, and 1 in 5 adults are drinking harmful amounts of alcohol.
