No major incidents for police to deal with
The police think the weather on New Year's Eve was a major contributor to it being a relatively quiet night for officers around the Island.
There was heavy rain for a number of hours, which seems to have put some people off going out.
Officers dealt with a few people who had had too much to drink, and went to have a word at a few noisy house parties.
Duty Inspector Allan Thompson says otherwise it was a pretty uneventful night:
Amber weather warning issued as strong winds and coastal conditions expected overnight
Hospice funding criticised by UK charity chief amid Isle of Man service cuts
Sailings cancelled as storm brings gale-force winds
Manx Mountain Marathon route diverted over safety concerns amid forecast strong winds
