Collaborative approach 'exceptionally successful' says minister
Mental health nurses are continuing to work with police during the Covid-19 lockdowns.
The health minister has described the partnership – which sees nurses stationed at Police Headquarters - as ‘exceptionally successful’.
In the first 18 days of the current lockdown officers received 16 calls related to mental health issues with 11 people making threats of suicide.
David Ashford says he hopes the collaborative approach can be expanded in future:
Knives and 'sharp metal objects' found in Douglas Council recycling box
Bus drivers to go on strike
Taxi driver remanded in custody after admitting £11k cheque fraud against father
Island businesses invited to FSA events
