Norovirus closes a ward to visitors at Noble's

Ward 6 closed to visitors until further notice

A ward at noble's hospital has been closed to visitors until further notice because of a significant increase in norovirus cases.

Relatives of patients on Ward 6 will be contacted about the temporary change to visiting hours.

Public Health has issued the following advice about norovirus.

D&V bugs are said to be common in adults, children and babies and symptoms should stop in a few days.

The most important thing is to have lots of fluids and get plenty of rest.

Anyone experiencing symptoms should stay home from school or work until they've not been sick or had diarrhea for at least two days.

You should only contact a medical professional if you or child has signs of dehydration or has been ill for more than a week.
