11 employees take voluntary redundancy after post plane stops
There are no plans for further redundancies at Isle of Man Post Office.
That’s from the chair of the organisation who has confirmed 11 employees have taken voluntary redundancy since October last year.
MHK Stu Peters says this is primarily as a result of the mail plane being stopped by Royal Mail and their duties changing:
The average voluntary redundancy payment was £17,147.
Of those affected seven have chosen suitable alternative roles within the organisation and two have been offered new positions.
