No new public sector houses built in three years of current administration

DOI Minister says current projects are 'replacement' schemes

Government has built no new social housing in the last three years of the current administration.

The infrastructure minister has told Tynwald there are number of 'replacement' programmes ongoing instead. 

Port Erin Commissioners is redeveloping flats in Marashen Crescent whilst Douglas Council has been given money to invest in 70 void properties. 

Minister Tim Crookall confirmed there is only one scheme, which will be carried out in Ramsey, that will see more social housing built on the Island in the near future:
