Kelproperties had wanted to demolish North Quay site
The former Newson's building on Douglas' North Quay has been put up for sale after redevelopment plans were refused.
The Planning Committee met this morning to consider the proposals to demolish and transform the registered building into a set of apartments and restaurant space.
Kelproperties, the company behind the plans, has since advertised the site - saying enquiries should be made through Cowley Groves.

The site has been the subject of debate for a number of months due to the company's wish to see the building - a warehouse dating back to the 1700s - demolished; something the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture deemed unnecessary.
