New pathway to extend the stay of Ukrainians who came to Island during conflict

188 visas issued since 2022

Government says it wants to continue to support Ukrainian people who moved to the Isle of Man following the Russian invasion of the country three years ago.

Tomorrow (4 February) it will open the Ukraine Permission Extension Scheme which will allow those who sought refuge here to apply to stay for another 18 months.

More than 180 visas have been issued to people fleeing the conflict since 2022.

The Ukraine Extension Scheme and Permission to Travel letters will come to an end on 4 February in place of this pathway.
