North Douglas MHK says it's time to face hardships
It was second time lucky for David Ashford in Douglas North on Thursday.
He fought back after losing a by-election in the constituency last year to edge out defending member John Houghton and top the polls.
He'll now work alongside the man who beat him in that by-election - Ralph Peake - in the House of Keys.
Mr Ashford says he's under no illusion as to the difficulties facing the Island:
'Power of veto' might help get difficult decisions through, says chief minister
Gas prices to remain unchanged for 2026
Ramsey Commissioners not adding 'optional' one percent increase to social housing rents
New gynaecology clinic room will 'significantly increase capacity'
