Facilities have generated almost £150,000 in revenue over three-year period
Manx Utilities has spent almost £600,000 installing charging points for electric vehicles on the Isle of Man, generating revenue of just under £150,000 in the last three years.
The figures have been published in response to a Freedom of Information request, asking for a range of details about EV chargers.
The data shows MU received just over £80,000 from EV charger use in the 2023-24 financial year, up from just over £43,000 the year before and £22,500 in 2021-22.
Since 2021, there have been 28 repairs to charging points managed, all of which have been carried out under warranty at no cost to Manx Utilities.
The request also asked which charging points are the most used - Manx Utilities confirmed the Sea Terminal facility sees the most use, with the Bungalow charge point the least used.
