Police say winds and stormy conditions a risk to people and vehicles
The Mountain Road will now remain closed until tomorrow morning (17 February).
Police have now confirmed the route - which was shut earlier today - will remain cordoned off until 10am on Thursday.
This, authorities add, is due to the risk expected high winds and stormy conditions could have on vehicles and individuals.
The constabulary states it will provide an update in due course.
