Motorists warned to drive cautiously or face the penalty

Increased traffic on residential roads due to resurfacing in south

Motorists in the south of the Island are being urged to drive cautiously or face a £120 fine.

The Southern Neighborhood Policing Team says ongoing resurfacing work near the Southern Civic Amenity Site means there is 'significantly more' traffic on Beach Road and Mount Gawne Road.

These residential roads are said to have 'tricky driveways' and are generally not suited to the volume and speed currently being experienced.

Additional speed enforcement in the area will take place over the next few weeks.
