GNAA responded within 32 minutes

The Great North Air Ambulance says it took 32 minutes to reach the Island to assist a motorist who’d been injured in a crash this week.

The doctor-led team was called to help following the incident near Corrany on Thursday (30 May).

They helped treat the individual alongside the Isle of Man Ambulance Service before they were taken to hospital accompanied by the critical care team.

The ambulance was refuelled at 5.22pm and landed back in Cumbria at 6.09pm.
