Officers enforcing Covid-19 rules and 40mph speed limit
Police say more than 150 vehicles were pulled over yesterday, as part of efforts to enforce government's Covid-19 rules.
Officers say motorists were 'stop checked' and asked where they were going, as part of a package of measures to stop the spread of coronavirus and reduce demand on the health service.
"Most were adhering to the guidelines," police say, including some key workers who were able to show proof whilst on their way to work.
Isle of Man Constabulary does add there has been an arrest for drink driving, though, and a male 'dealt with' for drugs offences, who was also in contravention of the isolation rules, plus some drivers stopped who weren't adhering to the 40mph speed limit.
