Warning of floods overnight and tomorrow
There’s a warning over possible flooding this evening, with up to an inch of rain expected on higher ground.
The Met Office says the worst of the rain will sweep over the Island at around midnight, but gales and a storm surge could also bring problems tomorrow.
It’s thought the gales, surge and rough seas will mean waves breaking over exposed coastal roads at high tide at around 8.30am on Tuesday morning.
The Department of Infrastructure says worst-affected will be the northern end of Douglas promenade, Laxey and Castletown promenades, Fenella Beach and Shore Road.
