Unemployment rate down again
The minister for policy and reform says the latest employment figures are an accurate representation of the position on the Island.
They show the number of people out of work and claiming benefits on the Island has fallen, with some 349 people unemployed, a decrease of 22 from February and 50 fewer than March 2018.
That rate now stands at 0.8%, down from 0.9% in February.
Speaking on Mandate this morning, Chris Thomas said there were two definitions of unemployment:
Reopening of Martin Ward delayed following further safety checks
Major reservoir projects completed on time and on budget
Law Society responds to 'anecdotal' reports of conveyancing log-jam
Repair scheme an 'antidote to throwaway culture'
