The Department of Infrastructure's failure to implement the so-called Living Streets Scheme in Douglas - despite Tynwald declaring its support for the project on two separate occasions - is a source of huge frustration in the constituency.
That's the view of Douglas Central MHK, Ann Corlett, who questioned DoI Minister Tim Crookall on the matter at this month's sitting of Tynwald.
The scheme would bring highway improvements, more crossings, traffic calming measures and 20 mph speed limits in residential areas and around schools.
Mrs Corlett told Manx Radio that her constituents don't feel they are being listened to, after many contributed to a consultation on the topic:
In his Tynwald reply to Mrs Corlett, the Minister said the work could be carried out in 2025/26, but subject to funding being available.
