Media Isle of Man 'committed' to providing 'comprehensive news offering' despite Courier concerns

Follows claims of reduced distribution of free weekly paper

Media Isle of Man says it remains committed to providing 'a comprehensive offering' to customers following reports of a reduction in Courier deliveries around the Island.

The newspaper, one of the only freely distributed newspapers in the British Isles, is published weekly.

People in Onchan and Sulby have taken to social media with claims the paper would no longer be delivered to their area.

They came alongside claims the paper would be available only upon collection at places like petrol stations, post offices and the sea terminal.

Manx Radio contacted Media Isle of Man for comment.

In response it said: "[The company] remains committed to providing the public with a comprehensive media offering relevant to both consumers and advertisers.

"We’re confident that we continue to provide news in the way that our audience wishes to receive it, through our ongoing print portfolio, growing digital brands and social platforms."

Media Isle of Man hasn't confirmed nor denied whether or not it's changed the distribution model of the Courier.
