Public meeting hosted by PAG
A public meeting to discuss the issue of means testing in the Island prompted a mixed response last night.
Around 40 people attended the debate, hosted by the Positive Action Group.
The guest speaker, Policy and Reform Minister Chris Thomas, is currently running a consultation on government means testing for a wide range of benefits.
Though he insists the plans are at an early stage, he believes an effective system could save considerable sums of money in the long term.
