Marvel project starring Manx actor gets October 2024 release date

Joe Locke to star in 'WandaVision' spin-off

The release date for Manx actor Joe Locke's latest project appears to have been confirmed.

And it looks like it will be here just in time for Hop-tu-Naa!

The ex-Ballakermeen student is starring in Agatha: Darkhold Diaries, a spin-off of Marvel television show WandaVision, which will be streamed on Disney+.

It was filmed in the US state of Georgia earlier this year.

Joe will portray Billy Kaplan/Wiccan (a member of the Young Avengers) in the series, rounding off a cast full of big names, including comedic actresses Kathryn Hahn and Aubrey Plaza and Broadway star Patti LuPone.

Mrs LuPone confirmed the release date during a live episode of the podcast 'You and Me Both', in which she spoke to politician Hillary Clinton about the show.

She said: "We are a coven of witches. It was one of the best experiences I've ever had in my career because of Jac Schaeffer and Kathryn Hahn. It was a set filled with respect, support, love, and trust. We as women, and Joe, bonded.

"It's coming out next Halloween.”

The series is highly-anticipated amongst Marvel fans, with the original show being a massive hit in 2021.

WandaVision was Disney+'s most-watched series premiere on its opening weekend, ahead of the second season of Star Wars drama The Mandalorian.

The new show has undergone several name-changes since it was originally announced as Agatha: House of Harkness back in 2021.
