Manx Utilities EV network upgrade to cost £100k

Chair hopes work will be complete by the end of this year

Manx Utilities says it has partnered with UK company Evolt Charging to help 'future-proof the Island's EV infrastructure.

Work will begin to upgrade the network next month, starting at the company’s headquarters at Ballacottier, the Comis Hotel and on Loch Promenade.

The majority of existing single-phase 7kW charge points will be upgraded to three-phase 22kW units where possible.

It's hoped the improvements will mean the network is 'robust and reliable' going forward.
