Authority treading carefully as move could displace water reserves
Manx Utilities is considering introducing floating PV solar panels on Sulby Reservoir.
The executive director has said it could bring in some more renewable energy to the grid.
However, Adrian Dobbins says it could also have a negative impact on wildlife in the reservoir.
He told Manx Radio solar panels could also displace some of the water, reducing the Island's stocks:
