Manx Nature Alliance forms to create 'independent, united voice'

Group includes Isle of Man Fungus Group, Manx Bat Group, Manx BirdLife and Manx Wildlife Trust

A new alliance of nature-based organisations and professionals has formed to act as 'an independent, united voice, advocating for a thriving and resilient Isle of Man Biosphere'. 

The Manx Nature Alliance says it wants to promote 'the conservation and restoration of the Island’s wildlife and natural habitats for future generations'.

It includes the Isle of Man Fungus Group, Manx Bat Group, Manx BirdLife and Manx Wildlife Trust as well as a group of independent ecologists.

Howard Caine caught up with Liz Charter, Nick Pinder and Dr Philippa Tomlinson from the group, who say its formation was driven by the fact nature has 'fallen down government's agenda in recent years':
