Party stands in 'solidarity' with nurses
The Manx Labour Party is calling on the government to prioritise 'recruitment and retention' of nurses.
It says it's 'crucial' that the current rate of pay and working conditions are acknowledged to be 'unacceptable', given the 'tremendous' value they bring to the healthcare system.
A shortage of nurses is 'no surprise' considering current working conditions which the party believes puts further strain on those in nursing roles but also 'jeopardizes' the quality of care.
The party wants nurses 'invaluable contributions' to the community recognised and say 'it's time to invest'.
