Manx Gas requests tariff price increases

The firm says it's due to a 10% profit margin not being met

The Chief Executive of Manx Gas, Jo Cox, says any imminent price rise is out of their hands.

The energy supplier's asking the Island's regulator to increase tariffs for the second time in recent months due to continuing high global costs.

Around twenty-thousand customers bills were recently hit by a hike of twenty-seven and a half per cent.

Mrs Cox says Manx Gas is currently running at a loss.
