The research focuses on barriers preventing men from seeking support
Manx Care is seeking volunteers for a research study aimed at improving access to mental health services on the Isle of Man.
The study’s findings will contribute to the Island’s ongoing suicide prevention strategy, introduced in early 2023.
A key focus is identifying the barriers that discourage men from seeking psychological therapy and exploring how services can be adapted to overcome these obstacles.
Assistant Clinical Psychologist Ciara Callister explains: "By understanding what prevents men from accessing psychological support, we can take a more targeted approach to updating our services.
"I hope the study’s findings will encourage more men to seek the mental health support they need."
