Three-year rollout will focus on more early intervention and prevention
An additional £3.4m in funding has been approved to transform children's mental health services on the Island.
Manx Care has confirmed it's secured the funds, which will be used over a three-year period to implement the THRIVE model.
The system, already in use in the UK, focuses on prevention and early intervention.
In March last year, Manx Care's Head of Mental Health Ross Bailey told a Tynwald committee more than one in 10 children aged four to 17 on the Isle of Man are receiving support from the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service - 400% higher than in England and Wales.
He also described the 35-week waiting list as "utterly unacceptable", while Chief Executive Teresa Cope stressed the need to move to THRIVE.
