Fake site

The Isle of Man Financial Services Authority has issued a warning about a fake website that has cloned the genuine website of Conister Bank Limited.

The scam involves persuading potential victims to transfer money to third-party accounts and accessing the fake site means your bank account may be at risk of being hacked

The fake website has no connection to Conister Bank Limited or any legitimate Isle of Man company.

The FSA says you should always verify information through trusted sources or by visiting the bank’s official website, which you can find here.

It warns that accessing the fake site could lead to fraud or identity theft.

For advice on avoiding scams and identity theft, visit Action Fraud or read their guidance on advance fee frauds.

If you have interacted with the fraudulent website, you should contact police.

If you have concerns, you can contact the FSA's Enforcement Division on 689311 or via email at enforcement@iomfsa.im.
