Jaks' boss says he has no plans to follow Stonegate Group's plans
A local bar and restaurant owner says he would never consider charging more for drinks during peak hours.
Andy Gibbs, who operates Jaks Bar and Smokehouse, Barbary Coast and Frank Matcham, in Douglas, says he thinks the move by the UK's biggest pub chain is ‘unfair’.
The Stonegate Group, which operates the Slug and Lettuce and Yates' bars, says 800 of its 4,000 pubs will introduce what it calls ‘dynamic pricing' during evenings and weekends.
Mr Gibbs told Manx Radio his outlets certainly won't be following suit:
