Levels of radon found in Manx schools "no way linked to level of risk"

Expert says government is taking appropriate action

A radon expert says the levels of the radioactive gas found in five schools on the Island are not a concern.

Fourteen rooms were found to be affected, including one classroom, a staff room and a caretaker's office.

High exposure to the gas over a long period of time can cause lung cancer.
