President and five council members to speak to legal services inquiry
The President of the Island's Law Society and members of the Law Society Council will give evidence to a Tynwald committee investigating the legal services on the Isle of Man.
Jane Gray and five members of the council will speak to the Constitutional and Legal Affairs and Justice Committee next Monday.
The committee is conducting an inquiry into the regulation of legal services with a particular focus on the role of the Law Society, and the process of becoming a Manx advocate.
A further hearing will take place on December 17th when First Deemster Andrew Corlett, Deemster Alastair Montgomerie, Deputy High Bailiff Jayne Hughes and Chief Registrar Stuart Quayle will give evidence.
Both will be held in the Legislative Council Chamber, getting underway at 10.30am.
