
BIC members convey concerns to UK govt
British Irish Council representatives, including the chief minister, have been relaying their concerns about Brexit to UK politicians at a specially-arranged BIC summit.
These included David Jones MP, the British government's minister of state at the Department For Exiting the European Union and the new Northern Ireland secretary, James Brokenshire MP.
Allan Bell says the leaders of Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and the Crown Dependencies demanded their countries and islands be involved in the process of exiting Europe from the start.
