Jade Burden raring to return to the ring this weekend

'The Grenade' and fellow pro boxer Jamie Devine both back in action

Isle of Man pro boxers Jade Burden and Jamie Devine will both return to the ring this weekend.

After some late changes Devine will face Jayro Fernando Duran, at Exhibition Centre Liverpool, tomorrow (14 December) whilst Burden takes on Kerry Orton, at The Eastside Rooms, in Birmingham on Sunday.

For Burden it'll be her second pro bout - her only other showdown so far this year was her professional debut in April where she earned a points win over Sheree Barnes in Liverpool.

After the frustration of a fight in September being cancelled 'The Grenade' says she's raring to go again against an opponent she knows will be a tough challenge:

Both fighters had originally been due to fight at the same event at the Adelphi Hotel in Liverpool on Sunday (15 December) however the event's organisers VIP Boxing Promotions cancelled that show earlier this week.

In light of the changes Burden's team has since laid on coach transport between Liverpool and Birmingham on Sunday for fans still looking to attend - details of which are being shared on the fighter's social media channels.

Meanwhile Devine - who's hoping to stretch his undefeated pro record of five wins - will now face Duran at the Boxxer event which will feature Natasha Jonas vs Ivana Habazin and Lauren Price vs Bexcky Mateus.
