It's a 'very challenging time' for schools, says former headteacher

NASUWT members striking today and tomorrow 

A former headteacher says choosing to down tools is difficult for educators because it means they lose pay.

Today (11 January) marks the second phase of the NASUWT's industrial action – the union is striking in a row over better pay and conditions.

Teachers will also strike tomorrow.

A number of schools and year groups are affected by the walkout.
