MLC Tanya August-Phillips is progressing the Reproductive Rights Bill 2024 as a Private Members Bill.
She's previously said she feels 'very sad' for same-sex couples who have had to 'struggle' due to 'poor legislative progression' on the Island.

Evidence has now been heard from experts and a number of amendments have been suggested which will go back before politicians for discussion.
