The Isle of Man will send a message of condolence to Her Majesty The Queen.
It follows the death of her husband Prince Philip this morning.
He was 99.
In a statement Lieutenant Governor Sir Richard Gozney said: 'I know that the Isle of Man joins me in expressing deep sadness at the death of HRH The Duke of Edinburgh.
'I am sending a message of condolence from the Island to HM The Queen.'
Flags at government buildings across the Isle of Man will fly at half-mast until further notice.
