Israel talk to avoid the political
A public lecture this evening will provide a crash course on Israel, the Arab world - and how the Isle of Man fits in to it all.
Academic and renowned expert on the region John Levy is giving the talk, organised by the newly-formed group IOM Friends of Israel.
It's centred around the area's 'diversity, wealth and technological significance' - with the nation's controversial politics, it's emphasised, taking a back seat.
All are welcome to the event, which is taking place at the Elim Church, Onchan, from 7.30pm.
Mr Levy says there's plenty up for discussion:
Reopening of Martin Ward delayed following further safety checks
Major reservoir projects completed on time and on budget
Law Society responds to 'anecdotal' reports of conveyancing log-jam
Repair scheme an 'antidote to throwaway culture'
