Inspection report praises standards of care at Island's bail hostel

Tromode House also offers accommodation to those leaving prison

The Isle of Man's bail hostel has been praised for its high standards of care and effective management.

Tromode House is operated by the Prison and Probation Service and is an approved facility for up to 11 adults who are involved with criminal justice agencies.

It also offers accommodation and structured support for those transitioning from prison to independent living.

The service has been found to be safe, effective, caring, responsive and well led following inspection by the Department of Health and Social Care's Regulation and Inspection team.

Justice and Home Affairs Minister Jane Poole-Wilson said: “We welcome this very positive inspection report.

“This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our staff who strive every day to make a positive impact on the lives of our residents.”
